MEDES 2026 will take place at the Rectorate of the University of A Coruña, in A Maestranza, right next to the historic centre of the city. One of the advantages of the conference venue is that many hotels, restaurants and attractions are within walking distance. We particularly recommend staying around A Maestranza, the Old Town, Plaza de María Pita, La Marina or the city centre.
Our recommendation: If possible, choose accommodation around Plaza de María Pita, the Old Town or La Marina. You will be able to walk to the conference venue and enjoy the city centre without needing daily transport.

Located by the sea, next to the Old Town and only a very short walk from the Rectorate. This is one of the most convenient options for MEDES attendees, with easy access to María Pita, La Marina and the historic centre.

A seafront hotel overlooking Orzán beach and the promenade. It is slightly farther from the Rectorate than the hotels around María Pita, but still within comfortable walking distance through the city centre.
