SemKS 2023: Semantic-based Knowledge Systems

Semantic-based Knowledge Systems (SemKS) will be co-located with INISTA 2023, offers an opportunity for exchange among communities working on interdisciplinary axes in the field of Artificial Intelligence in general. More specifically, there is a focus on Knowledge Engineering systems that implement and deploy semantic techniques. This special session privileges original, innovative and creative research results in the field, and is designed to focus on research in systems based on semantic knowledge processing, as well as other Artificial Intelligence techniques with the objectives and the following criteria: supporting the semantic interoperability of systems for human decision-making, through data science and computational techniques; providing a fluid mix between theory and practical studies for the treatment of heterogeneities; emphasizing the development and implementation of knowledge semantics-based intelligent software models, methods, systems and tools, possibly with applications in business, government, education, engineering and health. Specifically, this special session will cover different perspectives on these and related potential topics:

  • Semantic Knowledge representation and engineering
  • Computational semantic intelligence systems
  • Ontology-driven systems and modelling
  • Semantic Knowledge engineering in the Internet of Things
  • Semantics-Based Question Answering systems
  • Semantic Knowledge reconciliation, integration, fusion, querying and reasoning
  • Semantic Knowledge engineering for Big Data
  • Semantic Knowledge engineering in Pervasive Computing
  • Full Paper Submission: June 15th, 2023
  • Notification of Acceptance: July 20th, 2023
  • Camera-ready Submission & Registration: July 30th, 2023

Manuscripts should conform to the IEEE template/format as indicated in the Information for Authors section of the Article Submission Guidelines. All manuscripts to be considered for publication must be submitted by the deadline through the Easychair. Select a Track “Special Session on Semantic-based Knowledge Systems” from the option-box.
