Built on blockchain technology and governed through smart contracts, DAOs offer transparency, programmability, and decentralized decision-making. However, they remain vulnerable to smart-contract exploits, governance manipulation, malicious proposals, economic attacks, and failures in decentralized coordination.

AIDAOS’26 explores how artificial intelligence (AI), model-driven engineering, and formal methods can improve the security, resilience, and trustworthiness of DAOs and decentralized applications. AI techniques, including machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and intelligent agents, offer new opportunities for vulnerability detection, transaction monitoring, anomaly detection, threat intelligence, and governance analysis. Model-driven approaches and formal verification can complement these techniques by supporting systematic specification, analysis, testing, and verification of smart contracts and governance mechanisms.

The workshop also addresses the challenges of integrating AI into decentralized ecosystems, including adversarial manipulation, privacy, fairness, accountability, and regulatory compliance. By bringing together researchers and practitioners from AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, blockchain, and distributed systems, AIDAOS’26 aims to advance practical and theoretically grounded solutions for secure, adaptive, and transparent decentralized organizations.

Topics of Interest

We invite original research papers, practical implementations, case studies, and novel methodologies on, but not limited to, the following topics:

AI-Driven DAO Security and Threat Detection

Smart-Contract Vulnerability Detection, Testing, and Repair

LLMs and Generative AI for Smart-Contract Analysis and Security

AI-Assisted Formal Verification and Program Analysis

Model-Driven Engineering and Model-Based Security for DAOs

Secure-by-Design Architectures for DAOs and Decentralized Applications

AI-Based Anomaly Detection, Fraud Detection, and Transaction Monitoring

Blockchain Threat Intelligence and Attack Prediction

DAO Governance Security, Voting Mechanisms, and Proposal Analysis

AI-Enhanced Governance, Delegation, and Decision Support

Tokenomics Modeling, Economic Security, and Incentive Mechanisms

Game-Theoretic Analysis and Simulation of Decentralized Governance

Decentralized Identity, Authentication, and Access Control

Privacy-Preserving AI, Confidential Computing, and Secure Data Sharing

Adversarial AI, Poisoning, and Attacks on AI-Enabled Blockchain Systems

Multi-Agent Systems and Autonomous Agents for DAO Operations

Cross-Chain Security, Interoperability, and Bridge Vulnerabilities

Decentralized AI, Blockchain-Based AI Governance, and Verifiable AI

Security Testing, Benchmarking, and Reproducibility for DAO Systems

Ethics, Accountability, Legal Frameworks, and Regulatory Compliance

Submission and Publication

Authors are invited to submit papers up to 15 pages, prepared in the Springer CCIS format.

Submission platform: Microsoft CMT – MEDES 2026

Review process: Submissions will undergo peer review based on relevance, originality, technical soundness, significance, and presentation quality.

Presentation requirement: At least one author of each accepted paper must attend MEDES 2026 and present the work.

Accepted papers will be presented at AIDAOS’26 and included in the MEDES 2026 proceedings, planned for publication in Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series, subject to the publisher’s requirements.

Important Dates

Paper submission deadline: 20 October 2026

Acceptance notification: 26 October 2026

Camera-ready deadline: 01 November 2026

Workshop Organizers

Alex Norta, Tallinn University, Estonia; University of Pretoria, South Africa

Akram Hakiri, University of Pau & Pays de l’Adour, France

Anne Laurent, University of Montpellier, LIRMM, France

Publication Ethics

All submissions must comply with established standards of research integrity.
