Title: Geospatial Predictive Services: From Data Science to AI
Geospatial data has become a cornerstone of modern decision-making, powering applications from urban planning and environmental monitoring to autonomous navigation and disaster response. This talk explores the evolution of geospatial predictive services, tracing the journey from traditional data science techniques to cutting-edge artificial intelligence. We will examine how statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning are transforming the way spatial patterns are analyzed and predicted. Special attention will be given to the integration of heterogeneous data sources—satellite imagery, sensor networks, and real-time geolocation streams—and the challenges of scalability, uncertainty quantification, and ethical deployment. Through case studies and recent research, the talk will highlight how AI-driven geospatial services are reshaping industries and enabling smarter, more adaptive systems.
