The city is very close to the Atlantic Ocean. It belongs to both vernacular cultural regions of Basque Country and Gascony. Together with nearby Anglet, Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and several smaller communes, Bayonne forms an urban area with almost 50.000 inhabitants.The city of Bayonne is very famous for its ham, its chocolate and the \u201cF\u00eates de Bayonne\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #ffbb00;\">\u00a0Biarritz<\/strong><br \/>\nBiarritz is very close to Bayonne (10-15 minutes by bus).
